We are from 2C....we are to investigate the Low Birth Rate In Singapore.....

We went out to investigate out project on 31st january 2012 and we successfully interviewed10 people from the age of 30 to 60 and here are out survey question!!!!

Here are some question we asked:

1. How many children do you have??







2. How many children do you want to have??







3. What is stopping you from having more than 1-2 children??







4. What do you think can happen if singapore continues to have a low birth rate??







5. What do you think the government can do to encourage people to give birth to more children??

Result&Analysis

Out of 14 people we interviewed.10 are married but 2 are still single.

Out of 14 people 7 people at aged 45-60 want to have 1-2 children because their income are too low to provide more then 2 children and it is too stress for them as now providing a child is very expensive in 21 century.

5 of the pepole at aged 30-45 want to have more then 2 children because they said that children are adorable and they wont be bored at home as they can play with their children and childern can support them when they are old and the childern can continue the generation name.they doesn't want to have more children because there will not be enough space at home and they are getting older as they scare that they cannot affort more than 3 children.

2 of the people at aged 40-50 as they are still single and they are not planning to give birth becausethey said that having a child is very expensive and they think that baby will bother them.

The goverment is very concern about low birth rate as there will be more and more older people and lesser youths.

Some people suggested that goverment should give more baby bonus and subsidy to the people who give birth more and ensure everyone have a stable job and income and need government to get involved in maternity leave so that singapore birth rate will increase.

Conclusion

we faced some problem was some people are quite sensitive to answer the question and some will say that they never consider of those question and some young people will shock when we ask them.

reflections

we learn alot of things in the project and now we know that by supporting a child is very hard in 21 century as different from last time.

KokSeah:by supporting a child in 21 century is very hard.my grandmother have 9 children and she can support all the 9 of them because it don't cost much money as now it cost alot of money for 1 child and now i know that my parents work very hard to support me and 2 of my brother.
